The gorgeous Georgian terrace was once the home of the world-famous writer, where the audience are given the opportunity to explore it’s beautiful dressed Christmas decorations before darkness falls (and the show commences)  The museum promises to give an enchanting glimpse of how Christmas was celebrated by Dickens family. If you’re a bit of a Scrooge, this attraction is definitely not for you! Performances and tours are being held between the 19th and 30 December for just £20. Matinee and evening shows are available.

Explore the Christmas Lights by bike

If snow isn’t falling all around us, then why not on hop on a bike and take a wander around the bright lights of London’s Christmas lights? It’s definitely ideal for those who are feeling a little guilty after over-indulging on mince pies during the festive period. Tours commence at Southbank London Bicycle Hire, where you’re kitted out with a bike, helmet and high-vis before hitting the sights. Cyclists can enjoy exploring the white-washed terraced houses of Kensington and Chelsea, before taking a pit-stop at the world-famous displays in Carnaby Street, Covent Garden and Sloane Square. This is particular heart-warming for those who grew up in this era. The museum urges you to visit before it closes in January for a refurbishment, the best bit about it is it’s free!
